Greetings
I am about to make my first mold of a small bust about 1" + high. My understanding is to make a box, embed half the model in clay, and cast half the mold then remove the clay and reverse the process for the other half.
my question is why the clay? Can't i suspend the master in the box by affixing the base, pour the box half full, let it cure, then pour the other half? is this being too easy or is there a reason against it?
