I bought some Stewalin terracotta plaster from Troll factory in Germany and find it a bit thick to work with compared to many other types of plaster (link to stewalin plaster below)
on their website they say: Plaster : Water = 4 : 1 and on the plaster package they say: 4 parts of plaster and 1 part water. (I read them differently, 25 % water and 20 % water)
It may be a stupid question, but if I am mixing 100 g plaster, should I add 20 ml of water or 25 ml?
This plaster seems to be a lot thicker than other plaster types I've tried, making it a bit harder to pour in small moulds (brick mould 1:16).
Furthermore sprinkling it into the water (4 parts plaster + 1 part water) will make a high island of plaster in the water which doesn't settle automatically, I have to stir the island top into the water which I have always heard is a bad idea!
Does anyone have experience with stewalin, will it lose its strength if I add more water than suggested?
