Here is a WIP on the default Ruined Tower design. I decided to build it completely and then paint it (sorta). Basically, I left the corner removable until the
entire model was undercoated.
I undercoated the whole thing dark brown and then painted the inside. I wasn't too careful as it is inside so won't be that visible.
I then glued the tower shut. In the center of the pic you can see I left a 3" square of unbuilt space. This will be a modular section with different themes (Like an Alter or Well).
Sorry about the size of this image... forgot to resize it. Opposite corner showing where I filled in the ground texture (I had left an untouched section so that I could slide the corner in place.)
Here's the next step. I've added my special mix of stones, sand, sticks, dead bugs, etc. up the walls that will turn into creeping growth once I paint'er up.
That's it so far.
Oh... It's based on 12" square mdf. I'm making modular terrain so am making a bunch of 12" sections. I started building it with tacky glue and man it sucks.
I switched back to weldbond. I have literally turned this model upside down and shaken it (I used a lot of stone mix).
