Here's my work station. I've got a 3'x5' table flanked by two 4 drawer filing cabinets with a shelf (2x4 reinforced plywood) between the cabinets. I store most of miniatures on top of the shelf. Under the shelf, I mounted a 4' florescent shop light. I bought some small 3 drawer storage units from Big Lots and sub divided each drawer to hold two molds. Of course, I'm running out of room very fast! So, I try to only cast the molds that I need for building.

Don't worry about running out of space - the rule is that no matter how much space you have you soon fill it to overflowing. It seems especially true in this endeavor, so just get rid of the refridgerator

Aditat2 - I love the work station and of course the drum set is a must.
I am moving from San Francisco to Boise and have packed my modeling equipment away. When I get my new workstation set up I will post some pics.

I have two work areas in my house one part is in the basement (dungeon) which is where I do my casting and drying along with most of my priming/sealing and the second is upstairs in my room...Since I dont have to share it with anyone right now I can work in piece and if a late night urge to build comes about I just go across the room.

That is a great vibe table. What does the under side look like? I only want to know so I can steal the design.

Here are two closeups of the vibe table. The legs are 4" long...cut from a spare 1"x1" board I had. The surface is cut from a piece of MDF (supposed to be a shelf I think). The velcro straps are staple gunned to the MDF. The covering is a piece of cheap painters tarp plastic.

Very nice set-up! How long do you leave the vibrating table on for before you put the glass on top of your molds? I might have to "borrow" some of your ideas for the table! Thanks for the inspiration!

I turn it on right before I start pouring and leave it on untill after the plexi is in place. The weight of the plexi (1/4") combined with the vibration pushes out the extra plaster automatically...just watch to make sure the plexi doesn't run away from you

I pour pretty slow...takes 5-10 min for two molds.

Here is my new work place and my new apartment lol.

The metal cabnet is what I store my blocks in. It will hold a ton of blocks. Best part was it was free lol

All I can say is WoW like it Athan. I really like all the miniature's you have there There must be over 1,000 of them I would really like to see a picture of the table in the background with the buildings on it

I will try and get you some pics of the table Wolfen. That is my 4 foot by 8 foot table. i have it broken up into 4 foot wide by 2 foot long sections. Each section can be lifted up off of the table and turned over to reaveal a different terrain feature on the opposite side. For now i have four parts to the table. On one side it looks like dirt and grass while the other side looks like paved stone. This way if im fighting a battle in a natural setting its there and simply flip the pieces over and boom your in a city.
Here is a link to a little video I made of the table during an Infinity game. It shows one side of the board with the grey stone base and the other side with the natural landscape base.
