The main problem with a fieldstone secret door is the issue of brick lines. Gothic and Egyptian bricks can have a small gap between the bricks and still look good. But straight brick lines and gaps on fieldstone look too obvious. So I suggest modifying the ruined fieldstone bricks for a secret door. Since Bruce designed them to fit on top of each other you will eliminate the straight lines if the outline of your secret door isn't square. I''m assuming that your request is specifically for a hinged secret door rather than just a removable section. It might be challenging to drill holes for the hinges that line up and now I'll have to try it out myself to see if it can be done. :P

Edit: The interlocking nature of the ruined fieldstone means a lot more modifications to the bricks for them to work. I still think that it's possible and worth the effort for a personal project. But for a commissioned piece, it really depends on how much time you want to spend on it and how much you're getting paid.
