Lots of late nights this week (ok, every night this week) yielded a lot of progress. The roof tiles are all cut and glued including the conical roof. The half-casts worked out well and the roof looks to be about the right size for the tower it is sitting on. Most of the painting of the roof was finished, but still needs a little drybrushing as well as getting the rest of the timbers glued on.

All of the slate roof pieces were also painted. I went with a mixture between both A&B examples I posted awhile back. Some yellow ochre and green fungus type of color was added in areas to give some subtle color variations. Soon I will add some photos with better lighting from a camera other than my phone which will hopefully show the color off better than those below.

Darn, this one is a bit blurry, but still gives a general top-down overview:

As you can see a hint of in the above photo, the flocking of the base was also mostly completed.

Finally, here is a set of photos from each side to give you the 'big picture':

@dukedreal - Thanks for the compliment. I still need to weigh the whole thing, but it definitely has more than a full 50lb box of plaster in it I believe... Looking back at the close-up furniture photos I do agree the wall texture could use a good sanding. I wish I had posted a photo back when I was just starting the first set of half-timber interior walls and could more easily do something about it. For now it will just have to stay that way since the clock is ticking until the convention and making a big change would certainly push out other items I'd like to accomplish. Many of the other rooms did not get such a thick coat of spackle and that one will be mostly hidden by the roof so that makes me feel a little better about it.

This week I'll be looking for the devil - on which I have on good authority resides in the details. Items on the list include several woodworking items such as the stage for the main level, a wooden covering type of structure for the well, the bar area, freight elevator, and hopefully filling out the kitchen with stove/cabinets/tables. I've also got to figure out what to do about doors for all of the rooms which will probably turn out to be the biggest amount of work. There are also some wood timbers that need to be added to both the roof sections and the 5th floor. Oh, I should also probably get a start on painting the couple hundred bits of furniture...

Well, that is all for this update - hopefully the pace of next week will be a little less intense!
