As expected, there wasn't much time to build this past week.  I did get the slate glued on to the little corner roof section though:

I decided to do this style of roof rather than a single sloping roof.  The single slope would definitely have required less tile cutting and would have been easier, but to avoid a 'sled' look and add a little more visual interest, I went this route.  The V corner pieces haven't been glued into place yet as I still need to do a little sanding.

Nothing happened with the 4th floor other than gluing together the conical roof.  After gluing together the full 4" roof, I immediately noticed that the 1/2" overhang was a bit much for the balconies it was to cover:

I then left off the bottom row leaving me with a roof that is right at 4" with no overhang:

The second one seems to 'fit' much better and will likely be what covers this set of balconies.  What will work best for the spiral staircase on the opposite corner of the building is yet to be seen.  In general a 1/2" overhang may be fine for an 8" tower, but for a 4" tower it is seems a bit much.  I may try pouring some half depth 4" pieces and get a more visually appealing 1/4" overhang, but I'm guessing it will be difficult to get it poured exactly right leaving the bottom row of slates malformed...   Until I get the half-timber piece to add to the top of the spiral staircase built, I'll just have to wait and see.  Who knows, the full roof piece may look fine top cap off the stair tower after adding some timber supports.

Although I may have some more time this week than last week for hobby related activities, Christmas travels and celebration may keep construction at the snail's pace of the past couple weeks.  Still hoping to get to the 4th floor half-timber this week.

Hope you all have a great Christmas!
