Most of what I set out to do this past week got done. Almost all of the stone is painted (minus some detail pieces around the balconies) and I made some progress on casting the slate roof. I've still got between 10 and 15 casts left to do before making it to the estimated square feet needed to cover the roof sections.
The painting went well with no sign of walls warping thanks to fan-assisted drying. The darker and lighter areas are less easy to pick out when looking at the building in person. The camera seems to be exaggerating what should be subtle differences, but maybe I do need to add another layer of walnut wash to make it even more subtle...
Here are some photos of the finished outside walls.

Hm...after looking at the photos again it looks like I need to work on my lighting consistency...the left and right are a bit too dark and the front & back are too washed out...oh well, it will be better in the final photos. The actual color and saturation is somewhere in between the two.
Here is a quick sequence of the stages of painting in case anyone is interested...

For this week I hope to get the balsa floor installed on the 3rd floor and get all of the foam board walls spackled, painted, and glued on to the 3rd floor as well. Getting the walls finished on the 3rd floor will definitely go a long way in making things look a lot more 'done' and give a better feel for how this thing is going to turn out. Casting of the roof tiles will hopefully get some attention as well - maybe even finished.
