The goals I had planned for this past week were not quite met due to the arrival of the Flat Slate Mold and Conical Slate Mold.  Much available time was diverted to casting and painting up color scheme tests.  Here is a scene from the roof construction site with the massive 8" roof taking shape in the middle:

As you can see, the two roofs for the stair tower and the round balcony are both complete.  Looks like I'm about half way to the estimated 340 square inches of flat slate roof needed (assuming Sketchup's area calculations are accurate).  I'm sure I'll need to cast several more flat tiles to account for waste & whatnot.

That being said, I did make some progress.  The repainting efforts for the first floor interior was successful:

The large dark area in the central area will mostly be covered by the big fireplace leaving only a dark edge around it to account for soot and other filth associated with a big fire and adventurer's boots.  A dwarf stands where the stage will eventually be located.

Here is a view of the room which will contain the freight elevator looking down into the basement below:

Here is the dwarf again standing under the big arch of the large room:

Another crisis was narrowly averted... I found that after my initial attempt at painting the first floor failed, the wall section shown near the bottom of the page decided it wanted to bow outward a little bit making it protrude past the level above it.  I thought that painting just one side at a time would not let the glue get too soft, but I guess I was wrong.  Fortunately, I was already planning on painting it again and after applying the final overall wash, I propped a heavy object against the wall to apply inward pressure.  It seemed to bend back into shape and all is well.  I kept this in mind for the second level and used a fan to increase the drying speed and pull the moisture away from the wall so the glue didn't soak it up.

Second floor interior:

This will be the floor with the finest rooms.  The upper left shows the balcony overlooking the stage.
Here is a closeup view:

Viewing the hallway leading to the balcony area:

A fireplace will fill the big hole in the wall on the right-center.

Finally, here is my test conical roof section to give a feel for how it could look next to what the exterior wall color will be:

I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, but I don't hate it...

Well, that is it for this update.  Hopefully by the next week I'll have rest of the stone painted (both interior and exterior) as well as the rest of the roof cast.
