I would really suggest picking one line and sticking with it for a bit. If you like fieldstone, do fieldstone. If you want to go Gothic, go Gothic.

You can NEVER have enough basic blocks, and if you're doing dungeons, enough floor tiles.
I am in complete agreement here. The mistake I made early on was getting a couple of sci-fi moulds, a couple of fieldstone moulds, and a couple of gothic moulds.

Personally I would go with 45 (Dungeon Builder), 61 (3" Tower/Turret), 63 (Octagon Tower), 205 (Gothic Floor Tiles) and buy a kilo of silicone. I would then cast up 45 many times, extract the standard wall blocks, check for bubbles, and then make a large mould with just basic blocks (say with 10 of each of the 3", 2", 1.5", 1", and half inch wall blocks). If there is leftover silicone I would make a couple of standard floor configurations and make moulds of them. When I needed a roof I would buy pre-casts of 230 or 235, preferably large single-casts that can be sanded down to size. That will only cost $4 or $5 per finished model.

A configuration like this will allow you to make modular dungeon pieces as well as houses, towers, and castles. From this point adding extra moulds will add variety.
