Good work on the building and field. The 'openness' of the field will work great for Warhammer since a unit can move through it and have it considered 'rough' ground slowing them down.

Unfortunately, terrain that works best for WFB are shapes cut from felt representing different types of terrain (dark green for woods, blue for water, black for swamp, etc). That allows people to use their movement trays for their units without having to take them off to get around tree trunks & such. Obviously, that type of terrain is pretty boring. Of course buildings/structures and other more visually appealing terrain is definitely useful on the WFB board, but usually only as impassable objects that need to be navigated around instead of through. I used to play WFB quite a bit, but have since gone to skirmish type of games which focus on individual models. I switched primarily because the skirmishers can make much better use of building interiors and other more intricate terrain pieces.

Anyway, these two pieces would work great for both WFB and skirmish type of games. The wall around the field is short enough that someone could put their movement tray on top of it and not have their models tumble off. It can also be used to duck behind as cover for skirmish games.
