Sorry to dig this thread up but I'm going to make my first mold and have some questions:
1. I bought Mold Max 30 years and years ago, like around 8, and never got around to using it and stored it the garage. It gets cold where I live, snows, so as old as it is and stored where it's so cold do you think its still good? If so I have to go dig it out.
2. If I need to buy new should I go with an easier material like OOMOO 30 or just use Mold Max 30 for my first mold? I'm gong to be casting these around 60 times each to start with and then more over the years I'm sure.
3. I'm making molds of
these parts
(a link to my other thread), all Flag Stone tile from mold 260 cast in Merlin's Magic, do I need to seal them or spray on release agent?
4. With the Flag Stone should I paint them with the silicone first or just pour?
Very nerve racking making the first mold, I'm a little nervous. Now that I'm looking at the price I'm almost certain that I didn't get Mold Max 30 as both part A and B came in the same size container. I don't know what it is but the more I think about it I'm sure it being 8 years old and in freezing temperatures means I have to buy new.
