Cool! More fieldstone!
There have been a lot of good ideas tossed out in the thread so far.
I'd definitely support a basic block mold for fieldstone pieces. Casting the few blocks on the wall builder over and over can get tedious. The three inch turret idea is great. I'd love to add it to larger towers to make the piece more interesting or use it as a spiral staircase for other buildings
Splayed bases?!? Brilliant! I've seen this done at many castles and have thought how to model it. Even looked into the pyramid molds to do it.
Although they are not fieldstone projects, I'd really like to see another door or two added on to an accessory mold. Maybe a square door for variety or another arched door with different hardware or those doors that you can open the top half. It currently looks like everyone in Bobville definitely gets their hardware at the same shop. I'd also love a roof mold based on slate tiles since you see that on so many historic buildings.
I have to confess that the fieldstone octagonal tower doesn't hold much appeal to me. My projects are intended to be more historic than fantasy. I think that the stone work for castles would either be chipped stone or rougher fieldstone that has been plastered. In fact, I think that even the chipped stone was plastered and painted (like the gleaming white castle dioramas you see). I will definitely use the fieldstone pieces for the more civilian buildings.
Just my two cents. Thanks for expanding the fieldstone line, Bruce!
