There are some pics on these forums from users featuring DDM, or a mix of prepainted and painted. Bruce uses pre-painted Star Wars guys in his star ship mold pics. Probably mostly you'll see painted because that's what we do here: we model and paint things.
I have an enormous collection of metal and resin minis, only about an 8th of which are painted to any satisfactory degree in my mind. Mostly I do Reaper, but since I've been collecting them on and off since about 1981, I also have a good number of Ral Partha, RAFM, occasional GW, and a bunch of boxes of old Grenadier stuff. And a few other assorted bits from here and there.
Though I enjoy the act of building things myself, I don't have an opinion either way on somebody who chooses prepainteds. I think it's foolish to judge PPs or anybody who uses them, as lazy, or copping out, or whatever. If painting is somebody's thing, then great. If not, then it's just not their thing. It doesn't make them less of a person.
And just for the record, I have a toolbox full of DDM and a toolbox full of Star Wars. My kid loves them, and I like having them around as an option. Occasionally they sneak into my games. I will also be buying whichever Reaper pre-painteds catch my fancy. After all, minis aren't just a hobby or an obsession. They're tools. They should be used in the capacity for which they were intended.
