Its not a huge difference from sales price

I have worked for them, I Know how much the paint and pewter costs them. I know how much the staff (on piece rate) get paid to make and pack the figures.

I know it is a HUGE difference between cost and sales price

for instance, going back a few years to protect the poor GW sales team, staff were allowed to purchase figures at metal weight

an entire skaven army? Retail price: 250.00. cost to staff member? 8.00.

now when I was COSTING (hint at what my job was) with production, packing and modelling all accounted for the same army cost in total, 12.00 to make

even when the paints were a very cheap 75 pence to the customer, it only cost IN TOTAL 2pence for GW to produce, that was buying the acrylic paints, cost of Tub and paying the girl who filled the pots 0.5p a pot filled on piece rate yet again.

I know EJ you have a love of GW and to be honest I love the LOTR figures and even paid the overinflated prices GW charged for them as I thought them nice well designed figures, I just wish you werent so blind to their marketing and sales practices as you are.

and before I am flamed for my comments I still have alot of friends that work for GW in Nottingham and Eastwood factories, stretching from the shop floor to senior management, who know my views and in part agree with me. (the part that is in private)
