Hello gentlemen,
I dont see a big problem if you read the article. There is nothing in advertising Bruce's products for them and it wasnt one of their company builders producing the back drop. It would have been nice if they did say something about it being HA products but every dollar someone spends on someone elses product is a dollar they see slipping out between their fingers. They have spent huge amounts of money developing a product line that is by my standards Awesome, is it over priced .....yes in many ways......no in others. Its relatively cheap to set up production for Alloy figs but labor intensive ...conversely setting up for injection moulding is very expencive even with so many modern processes but relatively cheap on the labor once moulds are made.........the part that costs a huge amount is the packaging and advertising and If you were buying minis 20 or 30 years ago it was expencive then to. The big thing about GW that im thankful for is that they pretty much by themselves raised the standard of product and kept it alive when for 10 years it was a dieing trade. I dont like paying 35 bucks for 20 plastic figs but I often have paid 40-100 dollars on a scifi or military model kit. Another point........I dont give them credit on Bruces posts when I include pics on thes boards and I dont think they care. Are they Bitten by the GW fang and turned to the afterlife of gaming ......yes....but Ive always gotten what I wanted when ordered and they have gone way in my favore on many occasions when something was wrong....except 12 years ago when I swore I would never deal with customer services again.....what can I say...they got their *&&^% together. Something else to think about .....they (GW) are just now getting into building kits that are way over priced.....a good thing for Bruce as those newly Fanged recrutes into the hobby will be looking for fresh kill to bring home to the crypt and I can garantee you Bruce will profit fron their hunger........ Guys get out your oak steaks and say Hello!
John
