Has anyone tried the new miniature game Arcane Legions by Wells Expeditions' (Makers of Mage Knight, Mech Warrior). I recently bought the starter set and a booster pack for each faction. The 3 factions are Egypt, Han and Roman. It bills itself as a mass miniature game which it is. Only thing I dont like is that some of the miniatures are not painted.

Looking For Custom Decals

I'm looking for recomendations for companies that print custom, color, waterslide decals. I need some white decals for 28mm shoulder pads with a specific design.

In the past I've made my own or used Fighting Piranha Graphics. Does anyone know of other places that do custom decals?

HA AND DWF...DO THEY WORK?

Can anyone tell me how well HA and Dwarven Forge go together? Are the floor units the same size, how well to decors match etc.

Thanks! I have a ton of DWF but I"m thinking about using HA for buildings and some underground fun.

Hi all.

I played a game of Song of Blades and Heroes with my partner last night. Thought I'd share a battle report with some pics, since we've used some of my HA pieces (and I'm probably not the only person who likes reading these).

It was still a bit of a learning curve for us, but we've had great fun nevertheless. It was a close game too!

Anyway, we took a lot of photos during the game and I thought that writing up a battle report is pretty good...

The end of an era

Its a sad day really. We live our life, do the best we can, and inbetween all that, we do some building. And when it comes to an end, its like a star fish dying on the beach. It doesn't really matter to anyone but that one starfish. I'll be loosing my Man-Cave in a few months. Nine months to be exact. Yep, I'm going to be a dad again! I'm so excited I feel guilty!

Greetings all.

After a few years of idling I'm happily getting back into Mr. Hirst's fine products, which I view as the second finest use of silicone yet devised by man. I'm currently aiming for a relatively basic modular dungeon thing for use with a recently-purchased box of Descent, and I'm chuffed to see a fair bit of stuff here specific to that game. Hopefully I'll get it finished before some other seductively expensive hobby claims my attention.

In a recent Castlekits newsletter, pictures I posted here were used as an example of what can can be built with their kits. I don't have anything against Castlekits, but think it would be appropriate for any licensed HA dealer to ask the individual in advance for permission to use their photographs.

I have begun my first molds, and SUCCESS! Things are coming along nicely. My intent is to make moduler caves and dungeons for my D&D campaigns, so here is the D&D question: when playing the game, would you prefer to have low walls (a few bricks high) to make it easier to see and move minis around, or taller, more standard walls to complete the illusion, look and feel? I love the look of the taller walls, but I can see the increased functionality with shorter walls. Your thoughts...

You are never too young to try plaster, well at least once you can stand on a stool
My kids love helping dad with his plaster addiction as long as they get to do some fun stuff too! Working on the one for them three for me approach to casting :-)

The latest issue of Shop Notes magazine has plans for a hobby desk in it. It isn't the largest or fanciest work surface I've ever seen, but it does look like it could work nicely for our hobby.
