hi all,

after having pack my things for two years due to moving to a small appartment for a year, then moving to the new house, i was finally able to build my workstation.

i'm so happy, i'll now be able to start building again.

You are never too young to try plaster, well at least once you can stand on a stool
My kids love helping dad with his plaster addiction as long as they get to do some fun stuff too! Working on the one for them three for me approach to casting :-)

The latest issue of Shop Notes magazine has plans for a hobby desk in it. It isn't the largest or fanciest work surface I've ever seen, but it does look like it could work nicely for our hobby.

I was thinking of using all smooth blocks like it shows in the pic as I really like the look. But I got to thinking of all the little gothic bits I would want to add to make it look nice and a few of them do have the standard brick texture. Teardown's Alien Assault

Hi, just wanted everyone to know about a great free game. It's called Alien Assault, and is basically the space hulk boardgame (with a few tweaks). You play as the human and there is some pretty good AI that controls the Xenomorphs.

A cup holds 8 fluid ounces, and therefore a pint holds 16. A US pint of water by definition weighs one pound, thus one fluid ounce of water is one ounce dry weight as well. A US fluid ounce is also 29.57353 mL, or two tablespoons.

Someone needing to calculate 2 ounces of water for mixing Merlin's Magic would thus need two 1/8-cup measures of
water in the first cup...

A couple of years ago, my friend Doug, one of those rabid Star Wars fans you usually only read about in the funny pages, tells me about a project he'd like my help with. Seems Hasbro was having a contest for Celebration IV, and he wanted me to help him out, as I'm the "creative one", as he says. The contest was essentially to create a 3D terrain board for the SW Minis game, and the winner would get their piece shown at Celebration IV, plus free tickets to attend.
